• Census, 1880, Medina, Ohio, USA. No 127 coal miner with wife Ann and daughters Mary, Rachel and Louise

• Census, 1901, Cardiff, Glamorganshire. Coal trimmer living at 2 Penlline Street, Cardiff . Recorded on the census with John, Ann, Sarah, Maggie, Edith and Bennie is Olive Embry, granddaughter aged 3 - daughter of Rachel (nee Williams) and Hubert Embry
